Study Abroad
Sweet Briar women have been studying abroad since the 1930's. Today, the commitment to international education continues to be an integral part of our academic life. This is due not only to the presence of students preparing to study abroad and returning students who share their experiences, but also to a growing presence of international students on our campus who have chosen to pursue their studies in the United States. For the 2007-2008 year, 16 international students are studying at Sweet Briar College, and over 100 Sweet Briar students are studying abroad for an academic year, semester, or summer. It is not uncommon for SBC international students to study abroad while pursuing their degree at Sweet Briar.
